The Chinese Football Association (CFA) has issued a disciplinary sanction against Shanghai Shenhua player Wilson Manafa, suspending him for three matches and imposing a fine of 30,000 yuan. The ruling comes after Manafa was found guilty of violent conduct during the 11th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) match against Chongqing Tonglianglong, where he struck opponent Zhang Zhixiong in the head with his fist.
The CFA’s decision also applies to An Pem, another player who received a similar three-match ban for violent behavior. The penalties underscore the league’s commitment to maintaining discipline on the pitch.
