
After being named the Premier League U18 Player of the Season, 15-year-old Manchester United prodigy JJ-Gabriel sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official media.
“Winning this award means so much to me,” said the young midfielder. “I want to thank my coaches and teammates for helping me achieve this incredible honor.”
When asked how he maintained such consistent performances throughout the campaign, JJ-Gabriel emphasized the importance of daily discipline. “You have to give everything on the training pitch every single day, and work hard in the gym to stay fit and avoid injuries,” he explained.
The United youngster also praised the collective spirit within the U18 squad. “Since this group came together, we’ve become a really strong team. Everyone looks after each other, and we work incredibly hard. I believe we’ve had an outstanding season.”
Reflecting on his development at the club’s academy, JJ-Gabriel highlighted the personal growth he has experienced. “The academy has helped me mature a lot. They keep me humble and grounded, always reminding me to stay focused.”
On working with first-team coach Darren Fletcher, he expressed genuine gratitude. “I’m really, really happy to work with him. He’s an excellent coach. He’s helped me so much this season to become a better player and to be the best version of myself.”
Finally, JJ-Gabriel acknowledged the unwavering support from his family. “They’ve been there for me through tough times and good times. No matter how far or near the game is, they always come to watch me. I truly love them.”
