The Toronto Blue Jays have placed outfielder Addison Barger back on the 10-day injured list due to right elbow inflammation, just one game after his activation over the weekend.

In corresponding moves, the team recalled outfielder Yohendrick Pinango from Triple-A Buffalo, designated left-hander Eric Lauer for assignment, and selected the contract of right-hander Yariel Rodriguez from Triple-A.

Barger, who had been recovering from sprains in both ankles, played Saturday against the Los Angeles Angels. During that game, he made a strong throw from deep right field in the second inning to throw out Jorge Soler at home plate.

This season, Barger has struggled offensively, going 1-for-22 in nine games. Last season, he hit 21 home runs with 74 RBIs across 135 games, and batted .367 with three homers and nine RBIs in 17 games during the 2025 postseason.

Since his major league debut in 2024, Barger has posted a .223 career average with 28 home runs and 104 RBIs over 213 games for the Blue Jays.

Pinango, 24, made his MLB debut on April 26 and has hit .423 with one double and four RBIs in 10 games for Toronto.

Lauer, 30, posted a 1-5 record with a 6.69 ERA over eight appearances (six starts) for the Blue Jays this season. In eight major league seasons across three teams—including four with the Milwaukee Brewers—he holds a 46-44 record with a 4.26 ERA over 156 appearances (133 starts).

Rodriguez, 29, is set to make his 2026 MLB debut. Over the past two seasons with the Blue Jays, he is 4-10 with a 3.83 ERA in 87 appearances (22 starts).
